Cut kiwi fruit into thirds and place the pieces on a toothpick.
Kangaroo Krunch
2 quarts of popped corn (unsalted)
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup peanut butter
Heat the peanut butter and butter together and pour over popped corn. Sir mixture til well coated. Cool. Then let children form the letter K with the mixture.

Cut big K's from construction paper. Let children find "K" pictures in magazines. Cut pictures and paste on outline of K.
Sack Kite
Fold a 1" cuff around the top of a grocery bag. Attach scrap paper and streamers as decorations and use paint, crayons or markers to finish. Attach a 36" string to the cuff. To fly the kite, children must run and fill it with air.
Kangaroos
Cut kangaroo shapes from brown construction paper, both mama and baby. Attach a square pocket to mama and insert the baby.
Kaleidoscopes - use toilet paper rolls, coffee filters, dot with markers (it soaks color) and tie around roll with rubber band - look into light for the cool designs created. This neat idea sent in by Mary! Thanks!!
Katie No Pockets by H. Rey is an excellent book. I have had my kids match keys, print with keys and put kisses on a cut out letter K. Have mom send in lipstick or use small clean lipstick samples. The "kids" love this.
Cut kite (diamond) shapes from wallpaper books.
Then cut them in half (long ways).
Let the children match the kites.
This is an excellent game for 3 year olds.
You can also do this activity with a smaller version and let them glue the kites on blue paper. You could mix or match the halves to make the kites.
Use KERNELS of popcorn for sorting and counting activities.
Use Kix cereal for sorting and counting exercises.
How high can you kick? Compare two or three kicks and the kicks of classmates. Make a graph.
Keys
Try to pick up different kinds of keys with magnets. Which ones could be picked up and why?

Kangaroo Relay
Children pretend they are kangaroos, with pouches. Use bean bags as the pouches. After dividing into two groups, the children race each other across the floor, on hands and feet, with stomachs in the air with pouches (beanbags) perched on their stomachs. If a pouch falls off, the child has to pick it up.
