Elephant Ears

6 eggs
2 cups milk
3 tablespoons melted shortening
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons sugar

Break the eggs into a big bowl and let the children help beat them. Measure and add milk and shortening, then beat again. Add flour, salt, and sugar and mix well. Heat some oil in an electric frying pan. Pour the batter in 4" or 5" circles. Cook until browned, then flip and cook on the other side. Spread the completed elephant ears with butter or applesauce. Form the letter "E" with raisins on top.

Monkey Treat

Slice bananas thinly and fry in electric skillet, using a layer of heated oil. Drain on paper towels when lightly brown. Let the children add sunflower seeds to the bananas before eating.

Kangaroo Krunch

2 quarts of popped corn (unsalted)
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup peanut butter

Heat the peanut butter and butter together and pour over popped corn. Sir mixture til well coated. Cool. Then let children form the letter K with the mixture.

Zoo Cookies

Sugar cookies
Cake frosting (dyed with green food coloring)
Animal crackers

Spread the green frosting on top of the cookie (grass), them put the animal cracker on top.

Iced Animal Cracker Zoo Cookies

Ingredients
Animal Crackers
Cake Frosting

Directions
First, Put the animal crackers on a papretowel. Next Take your finger andput some icing on it. Do it to all the crackers you want. Last put it in the oven and let them bake for 10 minutes. Finally enjoy your treats.
